Charles Maria

Charles Maria has been involved in the fire service for over thirty four years, including nine years as a Chief Officer in Fire District No. 1, Franklin Township, NJ. He has worked as a Senior Fire Marshal, Training Officer and Fire Investigator for the Franklin Township Office of Fire Prevention for the past twenty seven years. Charles is a Senior Fire Instructor at Somerset County Emergency Services Training Academy in Somerset County, NJ, where he is a lead instructor in numerous areas including Firefighting, Firefighter Survival, Incident Command, Weapons of Mass Destruction, and Technical Rescue. Charles has recently been appointed to the New Jersey Fire Safety Commission as a municipal code official. Charles is also a certified public safety SCUBA diver. Charles has received an Associates Degree in Fire Science from Columbia Southern University.
